La Manga is renowned throughout the world for providing first class training facilities for players of all levels and ages. The mini tennis academy courses start as young as 4 or 5 years of age and offer of a fun and enjoyable group sessions with lessons throughout the week, broken down into 45 minutes sessions. This ensures that it is no too heavy going for the children.
For older children the groups are split into no more than 6 people per tennis group, based on age and ability. Adults are also split into groups of no more than 6 people, based on the players ability. The level of ability is determined during a welcome session that takes place on Sunday afternoons before the academy courses start on the Monday morning.
The tennis coaches usually get the assessment levels about right although there could be a bit of movement during the early part of the week. This ensures that each player is correctly allocated to the correct group to ensure they get the most out of their tennis academy course. The is a good choice of tennis academy courses to choose from which is driven by the number of hours that you would like to play. You can choose from 10, 15, 25 and 32 hour academy courses, which are spread over the week, starting on a Monday.
Weekend courses are also offered to adults only, starting on a Friday and ending on Sunday afternoon, which include 10 hours of tennis training. The 10 hour tennis academy is the most popular and is certainly recommended for beginners and involves 2 hours of tennis tuition each morning on Monday to Friday of each week. All academy courses above this level would be designed for the more experienced player and the 32 hour tennis academy is a very intensive training course, designed and developed for a high standard of player.
